Our Leadership
Layer 3 Communications, LLC was founded in 1998 and has three managing partners: Josh Bailey, Rodney Turner and Craig Wall. We are headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia with additional offices throughout the Southeast.
Rodney Turner
President & CEO
Mr. Turner is the President and CEO of Layer 3 Communications. He co-founded the company with Josh Bailey in 1998. Under his leadership, the company has grown to be a significant regional systems integrator with over 100 employees and offices throughout the southeast and Texas. Mr. Turner began his technology business development career in 1988. He worked with various systems integrators including Avnet Computer and Data Processing Sciences. In addition, he held business development roles with Bay Networks and Nortel Networks prior to founding Layer 3 Communications. Currently, Mr. Turner participates in several industry advisory councils and is generally considered an innovative thought leader in the industry. Mr. Turner is a graduate of Clemson University. He has three children and enjoys hunting, snowboarding, tennis, and golf.
Josh Bailey
Co-President and COO
A co-founder, Mr. Bailey has been with Layer 3 Communications since inception and was its first engineer. As Co-President and COO he is responsible for executing Layer 3 Communications mission to be a leader in today’s IT environments. He helps develop strategies for exploiting emerging trends and ensures the “engine” of the company is prepared to take advantage of them. Early in his career, Mr. Bailey held engineering roles at several Fortune 500 companies. He subsequently joined Bay Networks and supported major carriers as the telecom industry embraced networking in the late ‘90s. Mr. Bailey received a BSEE degree from the University of Florida in 1990.
Craig Wall
Director of Sales, Western Region
Craig Wall joined Layer 3 Communications in 2004 to found our Western Region. As Vice President and General Manager of the Western Region, Mr. Wall is responsible for executing our mission in the Western Region and contributes in developing our company wide goals, objectives and mission. Before joining Layer 3 Communications, he held various senior business development roles at Apple and Dell in Texas, Georgia and Alabama. Mr. Wall received a BSBA degree from the University of Florida in 1991 and now lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two children.

Layer 3 Communications has a broad clientele that is distributed across education, healthcare, manufacturing, large enterprise and Fortune 500 companies. This includes small and medium-sized businesses and state and local government agencies.
